Biography

Clotilde Pierson holds a bachelor and master in Architectural Engineering from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain, BE). In 2019, she graduated with a PhD degree in Engineering Technology for a thesis entitled: “Discomfort Glare Perception from Daylight: Influence of the Socio-Environmental Context.” Since then, she has been working as a postdoctoral scholar at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e, NL), and currently at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, CH). Her research focuses on the visual and non-visual aspects of daylight in the built environment, and aims at supporting the sustainability of buildings and the health and well-being of occupants through daylighting.
