Danial Karimi received his M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from Tehran Science and Research University, Iran and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. His master thesis was “Fuzzy control strategy for parallel hydraulic hybrid vehicles”. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the department of Electrical Engineering and Energy Technology (ETEC) in MOBI’s Battery Innovation Centre.
His research interests are intelligent control strategies on hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and hybrid hydraulic vehicles (HHVs), characterization and electro-thermal modelling, SOC and SOH estimation, and energy management strategies of electrical energy storage systems.
