Dr. Alihan Kaya is currently a postdoctoral Business Developer for MOBI research centre focusing on the research activities of EPOWERS - Efficient Power Electronics, Powertrain and Energy Solutions - research group at national and international levels.
He has obtained his PhD degree in Electromechanical Engineering at the STFES Research Group at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. His research was about experimental flow boiling of organic fluids at high reduced pressures in waste heat recovery evaporator tubes. Prior to that, he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey. He pursued experimental studies about single- and two-phase heat transfer of water and ferrofluids in microchannels.
He also has an established experience as patent engineer. On top of his freelance patent engineer experience to various companies and universities at international level, he worked as consultant IP key person for Daikin Europe N.V. for a year before joining MOBI.
