Pavlo has a background in infrared spectroscopy, nanotechnology, and surface studies. He completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Turin in 2016 studying the surface structure and properties of hydroxyapatites. Since then he worked as a Research Fellow at University of Turin on the application of the nanomaterials in tribological applications (in braking pads production in collaboration with ITT Automotive). Besides that, Pavlo was also collaborating with a Department of Biophysics, Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv) and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology lab at University of Texas, McGovern Medical School (Houston) within the projects related to the studies of biomolecules adsorption on the surface of nano-biomaterials (projects funded by European Commission and NATO).
Within MOBI Pavlo is going to act as a post-doctoral fellow within the SPARTACUS project. He's going to develop the new algorithms for the estimation of SoX of the automotive batteries.
