Gert Berckmans received his M.Sc. in Electromechanical Engineering Specialization in Vehicle Technology and Transport. His Master Thesis tackling Tubocharger Surge was completed in close collaboration with Toyota Motor Europe in the Engine Design Team. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Energy Technology (ETEC) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His PhD is part of an European project FiveVB, which handles Five Volt Lithium Ion Batteries with Silicon Anodes produced for Next Generation Electric Vehicles.
