Haaris Rasool is a PhD research fellow in the Power Electronics and Electrical Machines (PEEM) team, MOBI research centre at Vrije Universiteit Brussels since 2018. Currently, he is working for the HiPerform project and his major focus is on modelling, design and control of off-board high power charging system based on SiC technology for heavy-duty vehicles under the supervision of Prof. dr. Omar Hegazy. His research interests includes modeling and validation, simulation design, system analysis, protection, stability, control and optimization.
He received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) FAST Islamabad, Pakistan in 2016, and BE in Electrical Engineering from Air University Islamabad in 2012. He was working as a Control Engineer at Research and Development organization, Pakistan from 2014 to 2018, and as a Research Associate at NUCES FAST Islamabad, Pakistan from 2013 to 2014.
