Majid Vafaeipour holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a M.Sc. degree in Energy Systems Engineering from IAU, Tehran. Also, he received a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from SMU, Dallas, Texas. He has been working as a researcher at Center of Excellence for Environmental and Energy Systems, New York, and then for the R&D section of General Motors. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in the PEEM team of the MOBI research centre with a focus on “Energy Management, efficient fast charging strategy and fleet optimization for heavy-duty urban vehicles”. His research background and interests include integration and optimization techniques in energy applications, hybrid renewable energy systems, and transportation electrification.
