Nicolas Brusselaers is a PhD student at the MOBI research centre, supervised by Prof. dr. Cathy Macharis. His project focuses on Sustainable Logistics, especially in the field of smart governance as to aid in the construction and city planning processes to facilitate and support logistics to, from and on urban construction sites.
During his Bachelor in Communication, Nicolas interned at several companies including Proximus (Brussels), data visualisation start-up Cumul.io (Leuven) and route optimisation start-up Badger Maps (San Francisco, CA). Combining a position at Universal Pictures (Brussels), he then acquired the degree of Master of Science in Business Management at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His dissertation focused on the impact of Mobile Service Provider data on Road Freight Transport-related External Costs in the Brussels Metropolitan Region.
