Omid Rahbari graduated in the field of Energy Systems Engineering from IAU-STB, Tehran, with a graduate thesis on the application of soft computing and artificial intelligence in paving the way of integrating renewable energy into the power systems; he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Electrical Engineering – Power Systems. After graduation, he worked as a researcher in Young Researchers and Elite Club for three years.
He is currently doing his Ph.D. at ETEC, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Presentably, his research is revolving around smart charging strategy with respect to aging phenomena and grid characteristics. Furthermore, he plays a part not only in the BATTLE project but also in the ORCA project, aiming to develop and increase the knowledge of Lithium-ion batteries’ behavior in various operating conditions, and to enhance hybridized HD vehicles performances, respectively.
