You are a motivated researcher with expertise in optimisation and programming and strong interest in new developments in the domain of electric and autonomous mobility. You have a good academic track record, preferably in Mathematics, Operations Research, Analytics Business Engineering, Engineering or Computer Science. You are a team player. You are a good communicator and write fluently in English; Dutch is a plus. You are willing to attend project meetings and travel abroad for meetings and conferences.
You start on an international research project situated in the domain of electro-mobility and smart charging. Your research will focus on the location of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, with applications in different European regions/cities.
Research Group
The Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Centre (MOBI) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel has a strong tradition in state-of-the-art research on e-mobility and socio-economic analysis in sustainable mobility and logistics.
A multidisciplinary team of more than 100 specialists addresses the challenges that the transport value chain faces, by integrating the engineering, economy, policy, sociology & environmental sciences.
The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) has been a leading player in the Flemish Higher Education landscape for 40 years.
