Assel Zhaksylyk

Assel Zhaksylyk received the B.Sc. in Automation and Control Systems from the Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2015. Between September of 2017 and 2019, she did an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems with a focus on Power Electronics and Control systems for electric drivetrains. In August 2019 Assel joined the Power Electronics team of the MOBI research centre at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, under supervision of Prof. Omar Hegazy. Her research is focused on the Development of smart and modular active front-end systems towards efficient DC-charging systems for electric drivetrains.
