BCklet has won the Logistics Project of the Year 2020 during the Transport & Logistics Awards.
The BCklet project was launched in October 2018 by the Brussel cooperative Urbike. It aims to develop a proof-of-concept for goods distribution with containers the size of a pallet that are pulled by a bicycle. According to the jury, this project is very promising because, contrary to earlier projects with cargo bikes that almost all failed, BCklet is based on chain thinking. Behind the idea is a professional logistics concept, which is currently being tested by four leading partners: Delhaize, bpost, MultiPharma and CSD.
The price of the Logistics Project of the Year in an industrial or commercial company rewards a supply chain management project that is particulary efficient. This prize is supported by Logistics & Automation anf AEB.
