Prof. Dr. MD Sazzad Hosen

Md Sazzad Hosen is a junior professor in the MOBI battery research group (BIC). He graduated from Vrije Universiteit Brussel receiving the PhD degree in Engineering Sciences. His research interest includes battery characterization, algorithms and model development, battery management system (BMS), 2nd life of battery storage systems, etc.

He is coordinating the Horizon Europe project NEMO (2023-2026) and has been part of or led several EU, national, and industrial projects. He is also managing the state-of-the-art MOBI battery lab facility. Previously, he worked on energy and battery-related projects with Continental AG and Johnson Controls Power Solutions (present CLARIOS).

Prof. Hosen is an active member of EARPA (European Automotive Research Partner Association), BEPA (Batteries European Partnership Association), contributes to topic writing and roadmap definition of European battery Research Framework. He is an active reviewer of renowned journals from publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, IEEE, etc., and grant reviewer of international funding agencies.
