
Muhammad Talib Faiz
Biography
Muhammad Talib Faiz received his M.Sc. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2016, and his Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China, in 2020, both in the field of electrical engineering. His doctoral research focused on the robust and efficient design of grid-connected inverters for renewable power generation.
From 2021 to 2024, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Advances in Reliability and Safety (CAiRS) and in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. There, he conducted research on the reliability of power electronic devices and the development of integrated on-board charging systems for electric vehicles.
Currently, he serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the EPOWERS Research Group at the MOBI Electromobility Research Centre, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In this role, he contributes to the development of High-voltage, modular, and lightweight electric powertrains for next-generation waterborne transport. Muhammad’s research interests include power electronics converter modeling, stability analysis, and advanced digital control solutions for electric transportation and renewable energy systems.
