Olcay Bay

Olcay Bay received M.Sc. in the area of “Electrical Machinery and Power Electronics” from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. His focus during M.Sc, was development of a PV inverter based on WBG semiconductors. He worked for 8 years in the design and implementation of power electronics converters for renewable energy systems, FACTs devices and HVDC system.

In August 2021 he started his PhD in Engineering Science with EPOWERS-Efficient Power Electronics, Powertrain and Energy Solutions-Research Group, MOBI Research Center, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium. His research interest includes multi-physics modelling, control, virtual prototyping, hardware design for power electronic systems.
