DR. Shahid Jaman

Dr. Ir. Shahid Jaman received his Ph.D. degree from VUB in 2024 with greatest distinction. He also received his M.Sc. in Erasmus Mundus Master Course in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power System (EMMC STEPS), in 2017, and his B.Sc. in Electrical Electronic Engineering from the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), in 2011. 

He is currently working as a Senior Researcher in the EPOWERS research group, MOBI research centre, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He also involved in different EU Horizon 2020 projects such as ZEEFES, NEXT-e-TRUCK, NEMOSHIP projects. His research interests include Power Electronic Converter Modeling, Control, Optimization, Powertrain and Charging System Design and Development for Electric Vehicles, and Microgrid-Smart grid Modeling, Control, and Energy.
