Stijn Cousin

Stijn Cousin received the joint BruFacE degree of Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2023. During his studies, he specialised in Robotics and Mechanical Construction and performed his master's dissertation at EPOWERS in collaboration with Atlas Copco Airpower. 

After graduation he joined the VUB as a scientific employee working for the Atlas Copco Airpower chair until September 2024. In October 2024, he joined the ETEC Department in the MOBI research centre at VUB as a PhD student focussing on the modelling of Multi-Energy Smart Systems.

At EVERGi, he is currently involved on the Interreg 'Smart dHYstrict' and Horizon Europe 'REFORMERS Energy Valleys' projects. His research interests include sustainable multi-energy systems, energy storage, renewable energy sources and energy management strategies.
