Our Autonomous Vehicle Group went to San Francisco from August 16-21 organized by ITS.be Espaces-Mobilités.
During their visit, they got a firsthand look at the cutting-edge developments in autonomous vehicles from some industry leaders:
Waymo and Cruise, both pioneering robot taxi services, have recently been granted the green light for commercial operations in San Francisco. We even had the chance to test drive their autonomous vehicles!
They also hopped into a Tesla equipped with the FSD system, experiencing the future of self-driving technology.
To better understand the regulatory landscape, they met with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) and California Transportation.
An inspiring conference was the cherry on top with insightful talks from Marc Amblard (Orsay Consulting (SV)), Pr. William Riggs (University of San Francisco), and Mario Herger, PhD (Technology Trend researcher).
This trip has been an eye-opener to the remarkable progress and innovations in the autonomous vehicle industry. Exciting times ahead!
