VUB-MOBI in Global Final of the Global Students Challenge 2021

The students of VUB-MOBI are qualified for the Global Final of the Global Students Challenge 2021. With the highest team score of all the participating universities, VUB is for now finishing at first place. Together with 16 other universities VUB will battle for the Champions title and 10.000€ in cash prizes.

VUB project RENAISSANCE shows that energy transition can be done locally with good guidance Researchers from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in cooperation with research and consultancy firm Deep Blue conducted a survey on the acceptance of clean technologies and how citizens would feel being both consumer and producer (prosumer) of renewable energy in their own local community.

VUB begins EnerJettic energy-saving project

Jette Student block is pioneer for an energy-efficient campus VUB research centre MOBI has begun an energy consumption study in the student accommodation on campus Jette. For 18 months, the students will receive various tips relating to energy consumption. Researchee Shary Heuninckx explains: "The goal of EnerJettic is to look at what is needed to reduce the consumption of gas and electricity.
